A few days ago when I was driving down the road looking at the other vehicles around me I got to thinking, Who designed this stuff! I was looking at cars like the Dodge neon, the Astro vans and many others that look like no effort went into design at ALL. I mean who in there right mind mould step back to look at their finished product (say the 1990′s Pontiac Trans Sport) and say “yes!, That is perfect!”. The thing looks like a space ship gone wrong!!!. What were they thinking! a sporty mini van! come on!.  The reason I am ranting like this is because there is no excuse for an ugly car. period end of story! So much time is spent in design, aerodynamics, and just the general looks department that I think every vehicle should look amazing. If you are rushing to put a car out and if you do it will look okay… not great just okay… Don’t do it! its that simple. Take the extra time to make it unique, and a head turner instead of just another car. With that said finally there is some proof of this concept. Previously every hybrid/electric vehicle was absolutely hideous!!! But then out of know where comes Tesla and makes an electric car (sports car) that is cool. It is still an electric car. No emissions, but is fast, and is something you look at as it goes by. I guess what I am saying is Why dont automotive manufacturers spend a tad more time in the cool department. I think the general public would greatly appreciate it. And most likely it would boost sales against the drab, boring and frankly ugly Asian cars.

with the world in the state that it is now with so-called global warming, shortages of oil and this extreme fixation on mpg and “green” cars, It seems like super fast gas guzzling sports cars will soon be a thing of the past. Replaced by fuel-efficient vehicles that run on electricity, hydrogen, anything but fossil fuels. It’s a sad concept. slowly people are moving towards small compact cars. new sports car companies such as Fisker and Tesla are building new innovative sports cars that use renewable energy that are still fun do drive and exciting to look at. This just goes to show that not all electric or hybrids need to be hideous. but there will always be a soft spot in my heart for the grunt, growl, rawer, and howl of a real super car. They might be able to mimic the looks and even the performance, but the sound is untouchable, and cannot be replicated. And that is what gives a super car life and soul, without that it’s just a car.

The new mustang GT

The new mustang GT

Starting soon you will start seeing the new 2010 mustang on the roads near you. The new redesigned sports/ muscle car, has a few new features, including a bubble hood, crunched grill, (to add an aggressive appearance), new side panels, rounded off rear end, sequential turning signals on the back, and a new appearance package under the hood (GT version) and more. The interior has also been redesigned. Over all the new mustang has a very aggressive look about it, and I think it will be a huge hit in the world of mustang owners and those interested in purchasing one.
